“Lunita is a very special wine for me. It is made from a very old, ungrafted 1.5 hectare vineyard that we nurtured anew over the past 13 years. The vineyard is located in the middle part of our valley and has the same amount of calcareous material, sand pebbles and clay. In previous years, the grapes from the Lunita vineyard were destined for Barda, as he felt that the vines were not yet perfectly balanced. Little by little, when the vineyard came back to life, we decided to ferment it separately. Lunita grapes are harvested early in the morning and fermented in an open cement tank in whole bunches. The wine is not extracted or concentrated, since we ferment it by infusions. 50% of the elevation is done in used oak barrels and the remaining 50% is fermented in cement. " - Piero Incisa
